More and more employers are asking questions about the new California paid sick leave law. Even though the July 1st effective date (the date accrual of sick leave eligibility begins) is still some time away, employers are in desparate need of answers or clarification to their questions.

The labor commissioner recently released a series of frequently asked questions (FAQs) about the new paid sick leave law. It conveniently addresses topics associated with employee eligibility, the difference between the 30 day and 90 waiting periods, accruing and paying out sick leave, and much more.
