What is the HRC Corporate University?
The HRC Corporate University, under the Human Resources Consortium, Inc., offers specialized training and education for individuals seeking professional development and/or continuing education, as well as for organizations looking to increase employee retention and job-related skills. Through the Corporate University, one can enhance their professional qualifications, strengthen their résumé, enhance self-esteem and self confidence, develop a more positive image, and maintain a professional status and appreciation with their organization.
Is the HRC Corporate University an educational institution or non-profit?
No. The HRC Corporate University is a program offering extended education in the form of professional development and continuing education, and is not an educational institution. Courses taken and CEU credits earned under the HRC Corporate University will not apply or be credited against any form of study and/or undergraduate or graduate degree offered under an accredited or non-accredited college, university, or four-year educational institution. All HRC Corporate University courses offered, including online courses, are considered a form of extended education.
What makes Professional Development or Extended Education a good choice for me?
First off, many HRC Corporate University courses are eligible for Continuing Education Units (CEUs). Second, our course offerings are extremely flexible to meet your needs: courses can be taken monthly, online (selected courses), or even at your workplace. Thirdly, our courses can offer invaluable personal and professional development, such as enhancing your currently professional qualifications, strengthen your résumé, and enhancing your self-esteem and self confidence. Courses offered at a workplace would need to be arranged by your organization or employer before being offered.
Do you provide corporate training opportunities?
Yes. Professional development courses are available for organizations through the HRC Corporate University. All our courses can be tailored to meet your organizations goals while helping you maximize your training budget. Training can take place at the comfort and convenience at your site.
Who can register in the HRC Corporate University?
Registration is open to the general public and organizations. Once registered, you can begin enrolling in courses right away. Course enrollment fees will be provided on the course's details page.
How do I pay for an HRC Corporate University course?
You can make payments for HRC Corporate University courses 1) online at www.hrconsortium.net/cu by selecting your desired courses and securely paying online; 2) by calling the HRC at (559) 227-6115 with a credit card or debit card; 3) in person at our main office with a check, money order, or in cash; or 4) you can send in payment with a registration form. For your convenience, we accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa. Company invoicing is also available with a term of payment due on or before the course date.
Can military assistance or veteran's benefits be applied toward HRC Corporate University courses?
Individuals wishing to apply for programs administered by the Department of Veterans Affairs can obtain information on how to apply for their benefits by calling or visiting the Veterans' Affairs Office located at 9388 Lightwave Ave., San Diego, CA or by calling (559) 227-6115.

Do you offer online courses?
The HRC Corporate University is currently working with Fresno Pacific University in Fresno, CA to make available many of our courses online. Online courses would offer the convenience of taking an HRC Corporate University course in the comfort of your home or work environment. Online courses would provide audio and visual learning, as well as valuable supplemental materials. Each online course would include a brief assessment to measure your absorbtion or understanding of the course's content.
What type of certificates of professional development do you offer?
The HRC Corporate University currently offers certificates in professional development (no CEU credit/hours) and continuing education (for credit/hours toward an approved certification, license or credential). CEU certificates will include all information necessary, in accordance with applicable rules set by the agency or organization your credential or license is under, to ensure proper credit is extended.
In addition, the HRC also makes available a Master's Certificate of Professional Development for individuals wishing to take on a more regimented course of study and development in one of several concentrations.
What is a Master's Certificate of Professional Development?
A Master's Certificate of Professional Development is offered to an individual who has successfully completed a set curriculum of courses offered under the HRC Corporate University. Master Certificates offer a more comprehensive form of professional development and can be viewed as a professional certification that may greatly enhance career opportunities, promotion opportunities at work, increase one's skills and knowledge in a subject matter, improve work performance, enhance one's résumé and job opportunities, and much more. Curriculum has been structured under several professional concentrations of study. The HRC Corporate University currently does not require CEU hours to maintain a Master's Certificate.
At this time, the HRC Corporate University makes available the following concentrations: 1) Strategic Human Resource Management, 2) Supervisor and Management Development, and 3) Management of Organization Behavior. The successful candidate will receive a beautifully framed certificate that can be displayed in your office, on your desk or at home.
Can prior courses I've taken be applied toward a Master's Certificate of Professional Development?
Yes, depending on the type of course(s) taken. If you have attended a course that falls under any one of the Master's Certificate course curricula, then yes, your course may be applied toward the curriculum requirements. However, courses taken must currently be offered by the HRC Corporate University. Courses taken outside the HRC Corporate University are non-transferrable and will not receive credit toward one of our Master's Certificate programs. The Human Resources Consortium, Inc. reserves the discretion to modify its course content and curriculum requirements at any time.
Do I have to register separately to begin working toward a Master's Certificate?
No. However, the HRC Corporate University requires that all individuals wishing to work toward a Master's Certificate of Professional Development complete a brief Master's Certificate Program Enrollment Form so that the HRC is informed of your intentions, commitment and area of concentration you wish to study.
Can I be working on more than one Master's Certification?
Yes. Enrollment in each Master's Certificate Program is required. To download an enrollment form, click here.
What is a CEU?
The Continuing Education Unit or CEU is a uniform measure of non-credit continuing education learning experience. What we mean by "non-credit" is that any CEU credit(s) earned under the HRC Corporate University would not be applicable to any college, university, or four-year educational institution degree or course of study, accredited or not accredited. One (1) CEU is awarded for every one (1) hour of participation. For example, if you attend a 4 hour training course under the HRC Corporate University, you would be eligible for 4 hours of CEU credit. To receive full CEU credit for a course, an individual would have to participate in the entire length of the course. Leaving early and/or arriving late during a course may effect the number of CEU credits you would earn.
What type of CEU credits do you offer?
The HRC Corporate University currently offers CEU credits for individuals with a 1) California Residential Care Facility Administrator's License under a Group Home (GH), Adult Residential Facility (ARF) or Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) designation; or 2) current PHR, SPHR, or GPHR Certification under the HR Certification Institute (HRCI).

If I register online, do I have to create a login ID and password?
This question has both a 'yes' and a 'no' answer. Yes. If you register for an online course, you will be required to setup a login credential. This login would allow you the opportunity to enroll in additional online courses, as well as maintain a record of all past courses you may have attended.
No. If you register for courses that are not considered online, such as courses offered in a classroom environment, you will not be required to setup login credentials. However, the HRC Corporate University does make available a simple user account if you wish to maintain a history of courses you have enrolled and paid for using our website.
